Sumner Regional Medical Center provides community classes on health topics ranging from birthing and childhood to sleep apnea to hobbies such as gardening and healthy cooking. The hospital often joins with national organizations to provide specific seminars and sends physicians to speak at community events throughout the year. We also offer support groups for patients, family members as well as members of the community who wish to share experiences and information.

New parents, and even experienced ones, may find the addition of a new family member overwhelming. Special Delivery 101 prepares parents-to-be for pregnancy, labor, delivery and newborn care. Simply knowing what to expect can help ease much of the apprehension and concern associated with having a baby. We encourage mothers-to-be to attend during the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy and to bring their spouse or support person.
