Hospitalist Program
There are currently five hospitalists on staff at SRMC. They admit and monitor patients, handle paperwork involved with a hospital stay and regularly report the patient’s status back to his or her primary care physician. Once the hospitalist patients are discharged, the hospitalist refers them back to their primary care doctors for follow-up, if necessary.
